Witney is a wonderfully enchanting market town just on the edge of the Cotswolds in Oxfordshire.

Some historical facts about Witney.

  • Witney used to be home to the UK blanket industry.
  • While he was the Sheriff of Oxford, William Blake, lived in the Manor House at Cogges in Witney.
  • It is the home of the Wychwood Brewery.
  • Witney has a population of 24,765 residents.

The town is a great place to visit and to live with local bus links to the rest of Oxfordshire. The town center has many attractions such as a cinema and many cafes and restaurants.
